Do guests need to download an app or make an account?
Never. MenuPane opens in the phone's native browser the instant a guest taps the physical NFC card or scans the QR code. There is zero app download, zero login friction, and zero personal tracking.
How fast does the menu load on cellular signal?
Typically under one second. Photography and video clips are aggressively compressed, edge-cached, and lazy-loaded so menus remain lightning fast even on congested indoor cellular networks.

Physical Cards & Hardware
How do the physical table cards work?
We manufacture commercial-grade acrylic cards with an embedded NFC chip and a high-contrast matte QR code. Each card points to your restaurant's permanent link.
Are the cards water, spill, and disinfectant proof?
Yes. They are constructed for heavy commercial restaurant use. They withstand frequent wipe-downs with sanitizers, UV exposure, and dining room spills without degrading the chip or print.
What happens if a table card gets lost or stolen?
Because all cards encode the same permanent business link, losing one card does not disrupt any other tables. You can reorder replacement packs directly from your dashboard.
Menu Management & Live Updates
Can I 86 a dish or change prices instantly?
Yes. The moment you toggle a dish off or change a price in your operator dashboard and publish, it updates live on guests' phones immediately. You never have to reprint cards.
Can I upload photos and short video clips for dishes?

What is the difference between MenuPane Lite and Standard?
MenuPane Lite supplies physical cards that redirect to your existing website or PDF menu. MenuPane Standard provides the full high-performance hosted digital menu with dish media, video reels, instant updates, and analytics.
Are there long-term contracts?
No long-term commitments required. You can choose monthly or annual billing and cancel anytime directly from your billing portal.
