Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MenuPane's website, hardware products (including NFC and QR cards), and cloud-hosted digital menu software. By ordering cards, registering an account, or accessing our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. The Service
MenuPane provides restaurants, cafés, and hospitality businesses with physical table cards and hosted digital menu software:
- MenuPane Lite: Table cards encoded with a permanent link redirecting to an external destination provided by the restaurant.
- MenuPane Standard: Table cards opening a high-speed, branded digital menu hosted directly on MenuPane's edge infrastructure, supporting food photography, video clips, instant price updates, and multiple languages.
3. Account Registration & Security
To manage your digital menu, you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and maintain the security of your password. You are solely responsible for all actions taken under your account credentials.
4. Menu Content, Allergens & Dietary Accuracy
You retain ownership of all menus, dish photos, descriptions, videos, and branding uploaded to MenuPane. You grant MenuPane a limited license to host, format, and display this content to your diners.
Important allergen and safety notice:
You are solely responsible for ensuring that all dish descriptions, prices, allergen disclosures, dietary tags (such as Gluten-Free, Halal, Nut-Free, etc.), and health warnings displayed on your menu comply with local public health and consumer protection regulations. MenuPane is a presentation and hosting platform and does not verify ingredient or allergen accuracy.
5. Physical NFC & QR Cards
Cards delivered to you encode a permanent MenuPane destination link. MenuPane guarantees that cards will read reliably under standard hospitality usage. Cards damaged by extreme heat, severe physical abuse, or intentional tampering are not covered under replacement warranties. Additional or replacement cards may be ordered via your dashboard.
6. Subscription, Billing & Cancellation
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis as selected during checkout. Payments are handled via our PCI-compliant payment provider (Stripe). You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard settings. Upon cancellation, your hosted menu will remain accessible through the end of your prepaid billing period.
7. Service Availability & Modifications
We strive for 99.9% uptime on our guest-facing menu delivery. We may occasionally update, modify, or improve features. We will provide advance notice of any significant structural changes that impact live table menus.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MenuPane and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, sales, or customer goodwill arising from menu downtime, connectivity issues at venue premises, or customer food allergies.
9. Contact Us
